1. Who we are
These terms and conditions of sale apply to the services offered by the guest house Aux Quatre Coins du Monde, 2 rue de la Mairie, 58400 Champvoux, France – +33 6 68 30 71 55 – contact@aux-quatre-coins-du-monde.fr.
They cover bookings made on the website www.aux-quatre-coins-du-monde.fr and, where applicable, by telephone or by e-mail.
2. Services offered
We offer:
- overnight stays in guest rooms, breakfast included;
- additional services: host’s table, sharing boards, drinks (including local wines and beers).
The host’s table and sharing boards must be booked at least 24 hours in advance, subject to availability.
Well-being activities. Well-being activities (massage, reflexology, yoga) are not sold by the guest house. They are provided and invoiced directly by an independent practitioner who comes to the guest house. Our role is limited to putting you in touch with her and passing on your request, which must reach us at least 3 days in advance and remains subject to her availability. Her prices, her cancellation terms and liability for the service are hers alone.
A description of each room (capacity, facilities) is available on the website. Photographs are as accurate as possible but are not contractually binding.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time of booking. VAT is not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.
Prices for additional services are reviewed each year. They are published on the website or available on request before booking. Prices for well-being activities are set and communicated by the independent practitioner.
Tourist tax
Tourist tax is not included in our prices. It is set by the local authority and collected by us on its behalf. In 2026 it amounts to €0.88 per adult per night. People under 18 are exempt. It is paid on arrival, together with the balance of your stay.
4. Booking
To book online, you choose your dates, your room and the number of guests, then enter your contact details. You must accept these terms and conditions by ticking the box provided before confirming.
Your booking is firm once the deposit has been paid. A confirmation e-mail summarising your booking is then sent to you.
The number of guests may not exceed the capacity of the room booked.
5. Payment
A deposit of 30% of the price of the stay is paid at the time of booking, by bank card through our secure payment provider Stripe, or through PayPal.
The balance is paid on arrival. If you prefer, you may pay for the whole stay at the time of booking.
Additional services consumed on site (host’s table, drinks) are paid for on site. Well-being activities are paid for directly to the practitioner.
Means of payment accepted on site: bank card, cash, French holiday vouchers (chèques-vacances ANCV), PayPal or bank transfer.
6. No right of withdrawal
In accordance with article L. 221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation services supplied on a specific date. The applicable cancellation terms are those set out in article 7 below.
7. Cancellation or changes by the customer
Any cancellation must be notified to us by e-mail or by telephone. The date on which we receive your request determines which of the following terms applies:
- Up to 7 days before the arrival date: free cancellation. The deposit paid is refunded to you.
- Less than 7 days before the arrival date, or in the event of a no-show: the full price of the stay is due.
A stay cut short at your own initiative does not give rise to a refund.
To change your dates, please contact us: we will do our best to find a solution, subject to availability.
8. Cancellation by the guest house
Should we have to cancel your stay, we would inform you as soon as possible and refund in full all sums paid.
9. During your stay
- Arrival: between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Please let us know if you expect to arrive late.
- Departure: rooms must be vacated by 12 noon at the latest.
- The house is non-smoking.
- Pets are not accepted.
- Children remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parents, particularly around the swimming pool.
We kindly ask you to respect the premises and the peace and quiet of other guests. Any damage caused during your stay may be charged to you.
10. Complaints and mediation
For any complaint, please contact us first by e-mail at contact@aux-quatre-coins-du-monde.fr or by post at the address given in article 1. We will look for a solution together.
11. Personal data
The data collected when you book is processed in accordance with our privacy policy.
12. Applicable law
These terms and conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable settlement or mediation, a consumer customer may bring the matter before the court of their place of residence or of the place of the stay.
